The questions every parent asks

— answered the way we’d answer across the desk.

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?

Walk-ins are welcome, but an appointment means no waiting: book online in 30 seconds and pick the exact time you want, at either clinic. Immunization has its own queue, so vaccine visits are quick either way. For urgent worries, skip all of it and call the 24/7 line.

Which vaccines does my child need at each age — and do you send reminders?

We follow the WHO/EPI and CDC schedules, adapted to Nepal. Every dose your child receives at Kopila goes into their permanent record, and our reminder system tells you before the next one is due — by phone, WhatsApp or Viber. You don’t need to keep the chart in your head; that’s our job.

How do I get a school or university medical certificate, and how fast?

Ask at either clinic. Wellness certificates — including the eye and hearing screening schools require — are prepared from your child’s actual records and signed by the doctor, usually the same day. Sick notes and fitness-to-return letters work the same way.

Can the doctor see my child online if we live abroad?

Yes. Our telemedicine service works anywhere: book a slot in the app, upload photos, and the doctor calls you on WhatsApp or Viber with your child’s complete Kopila history in front of her. Many of our families consult from the US, Australia and Europe.

How do I get a copy of my child’s immunization record for a visa or school?

We issue full medical summaries — visit history and a complete immunization table, marking which doses were given at Kopila — accepted by embassies, universities and insurers. Ask at reception; it is printed from the record, not reconstructed from memory.

What should I bring to the first visit?

Yourselves, mostly. If you have them: any previous vaccination card or medical papers, and your child’s birth date details. Registering online before you come saves the clipboard time. We’ll build the record from there — and keep it for the next 18 years.

Do you see adults too?

Kopila is a children’s clinic — that focus is the whole point. The exception is the parents and the grand-parents of a child: we also treat them on a need basis and vaccinate them alongside the children, so everyone is covered at home or when travelling to the destination.
